Lowrance GPS

Lowrance GPS systems lead the world in the field of developing and distributing GPS technology and networks that support marine navigation and almost every type of fishing on the planet.  The biggest reason that Lowrance GPS is so far ahead of its competitors when it comes to fishing is that they have a hands-on approach to local fishing competitions.  There are also Lowrance fishing sites and forums that are generated by Lowrance employees, international fishing organizations, and people who fish recreationally and professionally.  People who are serious about boating and fishing just can’t seem to get enough of how Lowrance has advanced the water sports they love so much.

One of the reasons for this phenomenon is that the company believes in the Lowrance products so much, that they sponsor most of the major tournaments on the fishing circuits including tournaments put on by the B.A.S.S. Federations, the FLW Tour, the International Game Fish Association, the Masters Walleye Circuit, and the Maui Jim Hawaii Marlin Tournament Series, just to name a few.  Lowrance gives out sizable cash awards to tournament winners and organizations who promote the sport of fishing in order to build communities and environmental awareness.  Lowrance is definitely committed to marketing GPS units that promote the family and community values associated with fishing organizations worldwide.  There are even websites to visit that share the adventures and stories of families and friends who use Lowrance GPS to make fishing outings more memorable.

The love of boating and fishing is definitely reflected in the products that Lowrance markets.  One of the newest products is the LowranceNet Marine Networking System.  This electronic device can connect to all GPS devices on a larger boat and let them communicate so that one person can look at information like fuel consumption, speed, depth, water temperatures, and trim tab all from one location.
Of course, the success of Lowrance is built on their large screen chart plotters.  These models are sub-divided into large screen sonar and GPS chartplotter combos, large screen GPS chartplotters, full-size sonar and GPS chart plotter combos, full size GPS chartplotters, dual-search 83/200 kHz sonar fishfinders, basic chartplotter combos, and full-size sonar fishfinders.

In all, there are about 30 different models to choose from, and they all vary in price and features.  The GlobalMap 9300C HD GPS Chartplotter has a 30GB hard drive with an incredible amount of preloaded maps and electronic charts.  It has a precision 12-parallel channel GPS+WAAS receiver and is Lowrance radar compatible.  It also has a full color 10.4” screen, works with the new LowranceNet Marine Networking System, and has a 5-pin Ethernet expansion port that is compatible with radar and satellite radio.  These models go all the way down to the Full Size GPS Chartplotters, which includes the GlobalMap 5300C.  It comes with iGPS+WAAS navigation, a smaller screen with a 480×480 pixel resolution, the convenience of an internal antenna, and compatibility with Lowrance radar.

Lowrance also has models like the X52 Compact Fishfinder.  Its has a 4″ LCD display with a 16 level grey scale picture and a 240H x 160W pixel resolution.   As well, it has a depth penetration of up to 800 feet and a low-profile high-performance 200 kHz skimmer transducer with a built-in tempurature sensor.

Lowrance also hasn’t left out anyone who fishes in the winter.  The LMS-522C IceMachine Sonar/GPS Chartplotter is ready to go out into the frozen wilderness. This water-repellant GPS device has a sealed, rechargeable battery pack and battery charger.  Along with 3,000 preloaded lake maps, a 12-parallel channel GPS + WAAS reciever with internal antenna, a depth penetration of up to 900 hundred feet and many other features specicfically designed for ice fishing, the LMS-522C IceMachine Sonar/GPS Chartplotter is only one of the many Lowrance GPS devices that make fishing like a pro a reality.
